Circa 1830. 3 classical terraced houses converted to offices
stepped in slope. 3-storeys and basement, 3 bays each house.
Polished ashlar, partly painted, channelled at basement,
altered in centre. Roman Doric fluted porticos to right hand
entries at head of steps oversailing basement; triglyph
friezes; corniced, door blocked, now window No 241. Windows
mainly sash and case in architraves; T-pane windows with
leaded lights at ground floor eastmost. Ground floor windows
corniced; 1st floor windows corniced on cill band; swept
between 1st 2 eastern houses, eaves cornice similarly swept.
Blocking course; corniced axial stacks.
REAR ELEVATION: droved ashlar, some 12-pane glazing.
Cast-iron railings, gates to service entry and lamp
standards.
