Description

Mid/late 18th century, now 2 centre-doored 3-bay
cottages; single storey, sharing common roofline. Front
built with diagonally-droved ashlar with boulder base;
skews with simple moulded skewputts; ends stacks; slate
roof, presumably thatched, originally.
COTTAGE TO LEFT (WEAVER'S COTTAGE): is altered; 3
asymmetrical bays, window at right formerly a doorway;
modern wall-head dormer.
COTTAGE TO RIGHT (BROOM COTTAGE): has wider right bay.

Statement of Interest

Inscription on modern dormer with date 1758 may be

reproduced from marriage stone.
