Description

Circa 1870. 3-storey and basement, 3-bay houses. Ashlar, channelled to ground, rubble rear elevation. Wide architraved doorpieces with bracketted cornices 12 S door paired, good panelled storm doors. All windows architraved with cill courses to each floor; aprons at ground floor, cornices to 1st, brackets to 2nd floor cills. Sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. Modillion cornice. Modern tile roof. Good cast-iron railings to steps.

Statement of Interest

No 263 in poor repair 1990 similarly but not identically detailed to Nos 275-77. Provides good townscape value at the SE end of Kirklee Bridge.
