Description

Dated 1863. 2-storey, 3-bay galbed villa. Stugged, snecked sandstone rubble to N elevation; squared and coursed to N elevation; ashlar dressings. Battered base course; margins to windows; chamfered arises; roll-moulded cills; doorway and windows at 1st floor to N elevation corniced with strapwork decoration above also windows at ground to E and W elevations. Round-arched windows at 1st floor. Bargeboarded gables (decoarted bargeboard to left gable on N elevation). Quoin strips.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: doorway to centre with date in panel above, gable dormerheaded window breaking eaves above. Taller gable bays flanking with canted windows at ground and bipartite windows at 1st floor.

E ELEVATION: gable bay breaking eaves to centre with doorway at ground, window at 1st floor above. Windows flanking at ground. Mirror image to W elevation.

4-pane and plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, corniced sandstone gablehead stacks (some rendered).
