Begun 1755. Georgian. John Adam. 3 storeys. Harled;
moulded window-margins; gabled; slate roof. Projecting
central pavilion; pediment; oculus; rusticated ground
floor; segmental arches.

Statement of Interest

Burgh Offices. Upper floors, domestic. Originally a

Customs House and County Court House (until 1819) and

Prison. For a time it was Argyll Estates Office.
