Description

Late 18th century in origin, raised in 19th century. 4-storey, 3-bay hotel. Harled rubble, rendered and lined to front; base course, painted margins. Doors to centre and bay to right with block margined surrounds and flanking windows, further window to outer left. Regular fenestration above ground, grouped towards centre with gabled dormerheads with carved portrait heads breaking eaves at 3rd floor.

Timber sash and case windows with 4-pane glazing pattern. Grey slates. Broad, harled gablehead stack to left.

Sited opposite the burgh's other major inn, the King's Arms.
