Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular plan house. Pointed ashlar front, harled to side, moulded ashlar margins.

NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central pilastered and corniced doorpiece, window above, flanking bays symmetrical with windows at ground and 1st floors.

NE ELEVATION: gable end, windows at ground and 1st floor, plain margins.

SW ELEVATION: attached to No 46.

Modern replacement windows and front door, grey/brown slate, stone skews, ashlar (or rendered and lined) gablehead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

Statement of Interest

To same design as No 40 but with additional window at 1st floor, traditional in form and prominantly sited. Part of the Harbour Street B Group, Nos 40-58.
