Coloured harl, contrasting painted ashlar margins. 2 doorways to Regent Square elevation and one to Regent Street; mainly 2-pane glazing.

Ridges and end stacks; slate roof.

Statement of Interest

The Grampian Hotel (formerly Gordon Arms Hotel) at 36 Regent Street and 4, 5 Regent Square meets the criteria for listing for the following reasons:

• It is a prominent building on Regent Square, the central square of the early planned town of Fife Keith and forms a good grouping with other buildings of a similar age and building type.
• It is an early, surviving example of an early 19^th century town building that substantially retains its 19^th century elevations and historic character.
• For its positive contribution the townscape as a substantial, typical and representative building of the early planned town centre of Fife Keith.
• For its contribution to our understanding of the layout and development of James Duff's 1817 planned town centre of Fife Keith.
