James Gillespie Graham, 1822. Classical archway with moulded
keystone and coffered soffit flanked by coupled engaged
Tuscan columns on pedestals, triglyph frieze, mutuled
cornice with raised centre armorial panel. Gateway flanked
by coped screen-walls with square pyramidical capped terminal
piers.
Axial with Kelso Bridge with which it forms on A group.
Former entrance gateway to Springwood Park House which
was built in 1756, altered by Gillespie Graham in 1820s
and enlarged by Brown and Wardrop c. 1850-53.
