Description

Tower 16th century, 4-storey rubble, doublet window with segmental outer arch and foiled head each face at bell chamber. Corbelled parapet, partly pierced, slated broach spire. Church rebuilt 1761, simple mid-Georgian rectangle, 3 arched and keyblocked windows on S, 2 on N, all with original glazing. Harled with margins, crowstepped, slated. Interior renovated 1930 and 1970.

Statement of Interest

Note: the 1761 date, although it fits the architecture, is open to some question. The O.S.A. describes the church as appearing 'to be a very ancient building from the remains of a large choir and the gothic structure of the steeple. It was new roofed in 1761'.
