Circa 1835. 3-storey, 4-bay, classical former bank. Polished ashlar, channelled at ground. Ground floor band course, 2nd floor cill course and balustraded, dentilled eaves cornice. Architraved windows, those to 1st floor lugged and outer bays with canopies on flat consoles, and apron panels.
S (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Modern shop to ground with 3-part display window to left, display window and deep-set glazed door to right, centre and flanking piers; deep granite fascia between outer piers. Regular fenestration to 1st and 2nd floors, outer bays slightly advanced, open balustrade above.
N (HILL STREET) ELEVATION: 3-bay. Steps up to porch with slated canopy, modern door to centre, window in bay to right and blocked window to left; window to each bay above, those to left of centre at slightly lower level; twin piended roof with wallhead stack to left.
12-pane glazing pattern to rear, 1st and 2nd floor left, plate glass glazing elsewhere, all in timber sash and case windows except those to rear with casement windows; fixed display windows to ground front. Grey slates. Cavetto coped ashlar stacks with cans.
BOUNDARY WALLS: ashlar-coped rubble boundary walls.
