Description

Circa 1820. 2-storey and basement, 3-bay, house on ground falling to S, and in irregular terrace. Droved ashlar with long and short quoins. Base and eaves courses. Architraved surrounds to openings above basement.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: flight of steps with flanking cast-iron railings oversailing basement to centre bay with deep-set panelled timber door and sunburst-astragalled fanlight, windows in flanking bays to ground floor and basement, and regular fenestration close to eaves at 1st floor. 19th century rooflight over right bay and further rooflight to left close to roof ridge.

4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with cans, ashlar-coped skews and thackstanes.

INTERIOR: not seen (1996).

BOUNDARY WALLS AND RAILINGS: low saddleback-coped harled boundary walls to N, coped rubble walls to S. Cast-iron railings.
