Description

Early 19th century. Terrace of houses. 2-storeys and attic, 2-bay houses shared pends to 1 and 3, 5 and 7. Rubble and margins, No 7 pebble-dashed, rusticated quoins to the angle of No 9. Door and 1 window in ground floor, some with fanlights, 2 windows in 1st floor, 2 dormers to each house except No 9. Mostly piended and canted. Nos 1,7 9, 12-pane sashes; No 3, 4-pane sashes. Slate roofs. 2-bays of No 2 Castle Street return into Castle Gardens, rusticated angle quoins.

1988 REVISION: Nos 7 and 9 only painted facades. No 5 sandwiched double glazing (circa 1987).
