Extensive additions for orphanage: 1883, to west of house.
Rubble-built in early English Gothic style. Rectangular
plan with double transept at north west; broad square
battlemented tower at north east, with squat facetted
spire. Projecting gabled porch at south west. Simple
cusped lancets to 8 bays and in buttressed gable end, the
latter above 3 smaller cusped lights. Gabled bellcote at
south.
