Built 1784-6. Roadbridge, 2 segmental arches over Ewes Water
with pointed central cutwater either side. Stugged grey
ashlar, polished voussoirs band course below parapets (latter
rebuilt in 19th century and with ramped and splayed
approaches).
Replaces 1772-4 bridge "swept away" November 1783. (See
D1/1/7 and Hyslop, LANGHOLM AS IT WAS, 1912, pp.436-7).
