Description

Early 19th century, but incorporating earlier fabric; 2
adjoining parallel ranges sharing thick spine wall. 3
storeys, 3 bays. Rendered, with ashlar margins, raised quoins
and pedimented central doorcase; door to right in canted
angle formed probably early 20th century, angle now supported
above on corbelling. Doorpiece has pilasters with urn
ornament at capitals, pediment with ramped raking members,
large decorative wrought-iron lamp bracket (2 lessor brackets
above). Sash windows, 12-pane glazing at ground (including
some modern spun glass panels); 4-pane glazing above. Eaves
course; cornice; end stacks; double-ridged slate roof.
INTERIOR: central cantilevered stone stair with decorative
cast-iron balusters; panelled door in architraves.
