Description

Mid 19th century. 7-bay symmetrical villa with 2 storeys
over basement. Painted ashlar. 3 central bays bowed,
flanked recessed bays filled at ground by single storey
projections. Moulded recessed panel with round head in
ground floor central bay. Cill course at ground floor,
cornice above, and bracketed balustraded balcony. 3
central 1st floor windows. Windows in 1st floor outer
bays with apron panels. Deeply bracketed eaves. Flanking
bays with small windows, blank shield above ground floor,
cornice, parapet and urn above. Originally end stacks on
plinth with scrolled brackets; only plinth remains of
south stack. Piended slate roof.
Low screen wall with arcaded balustrade.
East entrance front: recessed door in shouldered
opening, with shouldered sidelights, in projecting porch
with bracketed cornice and parapet above: advanced bay
to left has tripartites. Outer bays slightly advanced,
with round-headed alcove at ground floor, recessed
square panel above. Steps at north lead to basement:
balustrade to area. Balconies on decorative brackets
on north and south walls.
