Description

Later 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 5-bay tenement (2-1-2) with 2 shops at ground. Cream snecked sandstone rubble, squared and coursed to W elevation. Base, string, and eaves course. Segmental-headed windows, stop-chamfered reveals.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: pend to cnetre with fanlit door, deep-set shop door to right with large window to outer right, mirror image to left. 5 windows at 1st and 2nd floors. Nepus gable to centre with narrow pointed window and coped sandstone stack, slate-hung gabled dormers to right and left with bipartite lights and bargeboarded and finialled gables.

E (REAR) ELEVATION: 3 bays; projecting rectangular piended-roofed stair block to centre.

Sash and case windows, 6-pane glazing at 1st floor; plate glass to lower sashes, 2-pane above to 2nd floor windows; modern glazing to dormers 12-pane sash and case to E elevation. Grey slate roof, skewputts, crowstepped gables with rendered coped stacks. Original cast-iron rainwater goods, hopper heads wth grotesque dragons (as 114 High Street).
