Description

Late 18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house with carriage pend. Cream coursed and squared sandstone rubble to N elevation. Base and eaves course, painted raised margins with relieving arches over 1st floor windows.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: pilastered (capitals have been removed) and corniced doorpiece to outer left with fanlit, 2-leaf boarded door. Bipartite window with ashlar mullion to right, segmental-headed carriage pend to outer right with impost block and keystone. Regular fenestration at 1st floor.

2-storey projection in re-entrant angle with advanced neighbour to right provides access to 139: blocked door to N, and Gothic sash window, with tracery at 1st floor; door at side (E) elevation. Piended roof.

Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, ashlar coped skew, coped sandstone stack to left gable.

Statement of Interest

Possibly the coach house to the larger adjoining Annet House.
