Description

Dated 1789. S facing, symmetrical 2-storey and attic house
over raised basement, 5 bays. Coursed, tooled rubble, rubble
flanks, contrasting painted ashlar dressings and margins.
Centre door approached by splayed flight of steps with later
19th century ornate cast-iron handrail; lugged and moulded
doorpiece. 2 ground, 2 1st floor windows and single attic
window to W gable; single ground and 1st floor with blocked
attic window at E; 12- and 16-pane glazing to sashes. 2
modern flat roofed dormers.
RUSTICATED QUOINS; deep moulded eaves cornice; flat skews
with run-off skewputts, dated at E. Tall coped panelled end
stacks; slate roof.
INTERIOR: central curved cantilevered staircase; some
original fielded panelled window shutters; front-door
fanlight with decorative glazing re-used upstairs.
Single storey and attic, much modernised wing extends from E
gable.
