Elevation to Market Place: two storey and attic, three bay, harled with ashlar dressings. Centre door with later 19th century shop-front to right, similar shop-front inserted around 1900 to left. The first floor's outer windows were enlarged to bipartites, the lintel to centre window (re-used) bears date and above this a mediaeval roof-boss from Melrose Abbey was inserted when the wall-head was raised around 1900. Three large cat-slide roofed dormers to attic. Slated roof, brick end-stacks.
The elevation to East Port incorporates at least two formerly separate properties, four bays wide, two storey and attic, gable over eastern bays, harled.
