Description

Dated 1836 with the initials MB and Sidmount Cottage 1836.
Single-storey villa, symmetrical 3-bay front with advanced
pedimented central entrance bay. Coursers neatly graded, with
painted ashlar dressings. Pilastered doorpiece, flanked by
tripartites with chamfered reveals, apron panels, and
lying-pane glazing. Angle margins eaves band and cornice. Low
tiles. South elevation has tripartite at west end and
recessed verandah with good cast-ironwork. Retractible
canopies over windows.
