Description

Circa 1840. Late classical 2 storey symmetrical, 3-bay
villa, droved ashlar 1st floor, channelled ground floor
and polished ashlar dressings. Advanced angle pilasters
with bases and entablatures. Central distyle Ionic porch
with balustraded balcony above at architraved and consoled
corniced window, flanked by 2 storey 3 light canted bay
windows. Band course at 1st floor level and string course
linking 1st floor cills and balcony coping, cornice with
blocking course links with those over angle pilasters and
bay windows, glazed with double pane sash windows. Piended
slated roof. Forecourt has corner piers, dwarf walls and
central gateway with ball finialled monolithic obelisk gate
piers above bases lining up with dwarf walls.
