Early 19th century. 3-bay symmetrical single storey cottage, former police station. Pinned rubble granite with bull-faced monolithic granite margins. Cebtral doorway with narrow fanlight, sash windows with 12-pane glazing pattern. Coped end stacks, slate roofs. Painted flanks and single storey brick lean-to addition to rear. 2 doors to cells retained on interior.
The name 'Copper Cottage' appears to have come from an earlier use as the police station. See also 'Copper' Cottage' in Middlebie Parish where the same association holds.
