Description

1684, enlarged 1767, partly reconstructed Wm. Smith 1861,
chiefly S. aisle and bellcote, further alterations 1886
Matthews and Mackenzie E., W., and N. windows and internal
alterations. Closed 1938, reconstructed internally George
Bennet Mitchell & Son 1954. Early Gothic in present form,
T-plan, harled with old surface granite dressings at jambs,
voussoirs above dark granite, dressings quarried granite.
3 N. windows wood treacery, 2 old 1 modern; 2-light window W.
gable; 2-light window S. gable and asymmetrical bellcote.

Statement of Interest

Ecclesiastical building in use as such. The manse was

reconstructed in 1957-8 and the 1829 wing demolished.
