E (FRONT) ELEVATION: doorway to centre with flush-panelled door (top 3 panels glazed). Regular fenestration.

W (REAR) ELEVATION: regular fenestration. Some openings enlarged at ground floor, later lean-to addition to basement. 3 cast-iron skylights.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Purple slate. Apex stack to N with thackstane.

Statement of Interest

Thackstanes are weathering devices used for thatched roofs, and the house would have been thatched originally; the form and pitch of the roof also indicate the earlier thatching.
