Description

Begun 1847, John Chesser, architect. Classic, 2-storey basement and attic, ashlar and slate, channelled ground floor; architraved windows at 1st; stone parapet partly taken down.

Statement of Interest

First mentioned Town Council Minutes 19th Sept. 1846. Plan of Col House croft's feus submitted 27th Feb. 1847, Kennedy and Macintosh, builders. Later sasines give John Chesser, but whether or not he began it is not clear.
