Description

Row of 4 adjoining houses all of slightly differing dates but dating from earlier/later 19th century. Each house has 2 storeys with symmetrical centre doored 3-bay front elevation; all harled, with contrasting painted margins, ashlar or render; slate roofs. From left, NO 29 has pilastered doorcase; NOS 25, 27 have paired doors sharing bracketed hood; NO 23A is lower, and modernised.

Statement of Interest

Good grouping of 19th century townhouses with fine doorcases and broad stacks making a strong streetscape contribution and forming and integral element of the later 19th century grid plan extension of the town to the East.
