Description

Later 19th century, 2-storey and attic, symmetrical 16-bay
terrace of shops at ground floor and dwellings above. Ashlar
frontage, polished ashlar dressings. 12 shop windows and 4
entrances, all with similar openings, moulded surrounds and
panelled aprons to windows; 3-pane glazing to 1st floor;
6 canted dormers; panelled end dies; blocking course;
raised of centre with centre roundel, all with dog tooth
decorative moulding; corniced end and ridge stacks; slate
roof.
Interior; wide wooden stair case in nos 33-35 with carved
balusters; 1st floor room has plaster ceilings with Prince of
Wales' feathers incorporated in design.

Statement of Interest

Prince and Princess of Wales visited Thurso in 1876.
