Circa 1930. 2-storey, 5-bay, Tudorbethan former Telephone Exchange.
Red sandstone bull-faced rubble, squared and snecked with ashlar dressings, base course; stone mullions and transoms and relieving arches; moulded eaves course. Rear wing painted, later addition (?).
Single pile principal block. S elevation near-symmetrical comprised of gabled outer bays; bay to outer right with Tudor-arched, corniced doorway, part moulded surround, fluted consoles and obelisk-flanked overdoor panel (blank), panelled door, small window flanking to right, that to left with tripartite window at ground, bipartite windows at 1st floor rising into gableheads. 3 inner bays comprised of bipartites at ground and smaller bipartite windows at 1st floor under eaves; square timber shuttered recess below window to penultimate right, presumably coal shute. Gabled E side elevation with paired bipartite windows to centre and left and transomed larger bipartite stair window to right over small under stair window. W gabled elevation with door at ground to left and narrow window to right, 1st floor with bipartite transomed window at centre flanked by small windows.
Metal-framed, small-pane casement windows. Grey slate roof with ashlar coped skews and block bracketed skewputts; ashlar ridge.
