Late 18th to early 19th century, with later additions and alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay originally rectangular-plan house set at angle on sloping site, forming end of terrace, with single storey, lean-to addition at rear. Whitewashed harl.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: boarded timber door centred at ground; letterbox fanlight; single windows flanking at ground; single windows in all bays at 1st floor.
E (SIDE) ELEVATION: 2-bay gable end with single windows at both floors to left; single window at 1st floor to right; small attic light off-set to right of centre. Bipartite window and part-glazed boarded timber door in lean-to addition to outer right.
4-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Pantiled roof; stone-coped skews. Corniced, brick-built apex stacks.
INTERIOR: not seen 1999.
A good example of a traditional type. Forms the end of an irregular terrace to the N of the Bogan Burn. Once known as 'Weaver's Row', the terrace originally housed local weavers. 54 handloom weavers were recorded as resident in the parish in 1854, the local speciality being gingham.
