Description

18th century in appearance (perhaps the last quarter). 2 storeys and attic, 4 bays at first floor with original stone rybats; facade smooth-rendered. Ground floor altered in at least 2 phases perhaps late 19th-early 20th century: centre doorway (possibly original), 3-bay centre-doored shops flanking with enlarged windows with projecting stone sills; shop to right with panelled 2-leaf door, windows with glazing bars at upper level; shop to left with smaller windows. Steep-pitched roof with small slates; pair swept-roofed dormers with slated cheeks; centre skylight; skews; rebuilt end stacks. Rear wall coursed unsquared whin rubble, ashlar dressings; 3 skylights above. Interior neglected, but someearly/original ornament including timber staircase balusters and plasterwork.
