Free church, gothic, with some art nouveau touches (eg sweep of gable ends); nave with battered buttresses on west gable flanking giant traceried window, unusual porch at NW corner with entrance door on a splay facing gateway at street corner, plainer low hall/session house adjoining east gable with flat-lintelled mullioned window in front gable. Rock-faced red ashlar, polished detailing, Westmoreland slate roofs, axial ventilator near west end conceived as belfry (see under-noted view). Interior not seen for this report (May 1996). Gableted gatepiers, low perimeter walls with railings removed.
Secularised.
