Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey public house on corner site. Harled with painted ashlar dressings. Quoin strips and base course; 1st floor windows hard under eaves. 5 irregular bays to N with 2 corniced doors and 2 blind windows at 1st floor. Single bay return to Mill Square. Plate glass windows at ground with grilles; timber sash and case plate glass windows at 1st floor. Piended roof at corner; grey slates; brick stacks, rendered to S.

Statement of Interest

Catrine was built to provide housing for the local mill which formerly adjoined Mill Square to the W. B Group with Nos 8-14 St Germain Street.
