Earlier 19th century with later alterations. Long 2-storey block with 3 shops at ground to W, and public house to E. Dry-dashed with some ashlar dressings. Piend-roofed dormer to 2-bay centre property
(No 26). Modern plate glass windows. Piended roof to W; grey slates; brick stacks (removed at ends); ashlar coped mutual skews.
Catrine was built to provide housing for the local mill which formerly adjoined Mill Square to the W. B Group with Nos 8-20 St Germain Street and Ford Street.
