Description

Circa 1870. 2-storey asymmetrical, multi-gabled villa in large garden ground with single storey wing and 'lodge'. L-plan main front with balconied single storey square bay window linked to entrance porch

in re-entrant angle, both simply balustraded. Coursed broached granite ashlars with polished granite detailing: partly painted to rear. Upper storeys with dormers of stone cut through eaves with corbelled, pedimented heads. Plate glass windows to main front lower windows, lesser elevations divided into 4 and 8 pane sashes. Slate roofs. Simple corniced chimney stacks.

LODGE: single storey cottage set at right angle to Cranford Road. Granite ashlar main front, remainder rendered. Gatepiers alongside with pyramidal caps.
