Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey, piend and platform-roofed house, converted to offices 1992. Narrow blocks of squared and snecked sandstone with droved ashlar quoins and dressings. Base course, deep ashlar eaves. Corniced tripartite windows and stone mullions.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 2 tripartite windows with relieving arches to ground and 3 small windows close to eaves at 1st floor.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: advanced bay to right with 2 windows to each floor, doorway on return to left with decorative part-consoled pediment and deep-set panelled timber door, and recessed bay to left with window to each floor.

E ELEVATION: asymmetrical elevation with stair window to centre and outbuilding adjoining to ground right.

4- and 12-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with cans.

INTERIOR: some decorative cornices.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low saddleback-coped ashlar walls to W; coped rubble boundary walls elsewhere.
