Description

James Wylson, 1836-7, as St Luke's Established Church, the parish church of West Calton; gutted by fire 1924, upper walls and interior reconstructed 1925-6 by J M Munro and Son. Classical facade to Bain Square painted ashlar, shallow gabled centre with door set in arched panel with giant pilastered frame, pilasters all thinly-proportioned; tall outer windows round-headed, main wall channelled to cill level. 2-storey rubble-built flanks; shallow apse.
