Description

Circa 1870. 3 storey, 7 bay symmetrical Italianate tenement blocks flanking advanced central pend (garage). Cream sandstone ashlar. Base course; pilasters to advanced architraves to ground floor openings to tenements; bracketed cills to architraves to floors above; dividing band courses between floors; eaves course; cornice.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: Tenement Blocks: central round arched doorways; panelled doors; plate glass fanlights; single windows to 1st floor above; flanking round arched bipartite windows at ground; bipartite windows to 1st floor above; single windows to 2nd floor above. Garage: panelled stylized pilasters to segmental arched pend; timber gates; tripartite window to 2nd floor above; balustraded parapet with corniced dies.

Plate glass, timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; rendered and coped ridge stack.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.
