Description

Early 19th century with later additions and alterations. Single storey with attic, 3-bay terraced cottage. Whinstone and sandstone rubble with droved ashlar irregular tails and dormerheads.

W (STREET) ELEVATION: boarded door to centre with glazed upper panel. Window to each flanking bay with window at attic above, breaking eaves with gabled dormerhead.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows. Slate roof. Brick mutual stacks. Ashlar coped skews.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1996.

Statement of Interest

The cottage is part of a longer terrace. It was almost certainly single storey with the attic, with the dormerheads, being added in the late 19th century.
