Dated 1894. 3-bay, single storey, piend-roofed cottage with Corinthian-columned, pedimented porch. Squared and snecked sandstone rubble with contrasting quoins. Eaves course. Stop-chamfered arrises and stone mullions.
NW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: porch with date and carved floreate detail on tympanum and deep-set timber door with plate glass fanlight at centre, canted tripartite window in bay to right and bipartite window to left.
Plate glass glazing in out-of-character top-opening timber windows. Grey slates. Shouldered wallhead stacks with polygonal cans.
The only Dean of Guild application recorded for Balsusney Road during 1894 was made by Mr R L Currie, for the erection of a cottage. The stone cleaning and non-traditional glazing reduce the interest of the cottage, but the latter could be redeemed.
