Description

Attributed to John smith. 1806-12. Large quadrangular plan, single storey and attic and 2-storey steading with later additions. Ashlar granite to front elevation, coursed squared blocks and rubble elsewhere. Piended roof with slates in diminishing courses, coped ashlar wallhead and ridge stacks. Single 6-pane windows to domestic areas.

FRONT ELEVATION: 11-bay, 5 segmental arch openings to centre (centre arch remains open, flanking arches infilled as doors and windows), door and 2 windows to left and right, 11 windows to 1st floor.

WEST ELEVATION: various outshots to left, door with astragalled transom light and various windows to right, 3 wallhead stacks.

EAST ELEVATION: Forestair to door at left, various openings to right, wallhead stack, dormerheaded openings.

COURTYARD: partly infilled from north, segmental arch pend at south range, 6 prominent shouldered wallhead stacks.
