Late 18th century. Single storey, 3-bay cottage. Whitewashed rubble sandstone. Boulder footings to walls; droved dressings.
E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 3 widely spaced bays. Central doorway with modern timber door. Single windows flanking to left and right. Modern warehouse (not included in listing) recessed to outer right.
INTERIOR: not seen 1999.
12-Pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; coped gablehead stacks; prominent skews.
The broad spacing of the openings and pitch of the roof suggest a late 18th century origin. The height of the skews above the slates indicates that the roof was almost certainly thatched in its original state. The building is first clearly indicated on the Ordnance Survey map of 1853.
