Early or earlier 19th century. Paired terrace of 2-storey and 2-storey and attic houses on angled corner site. Asymmetrical. Painted, lined render, plain margins.
W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: house to left at entrance to Seagate; 2 windows at ground and 1st floors, modern dormer, doorway to right on Bridge Street. House to right; doorway to left with window centred above at 1st floor, window to right at 1st floor.
N ELEVATION: gable end.
S ELEVATION: adjoining 2 Wharf Street.
Timber sash and case windows, 8-pane and plate glass. Grey slate pitched roof, stone skew to N.
These houses define the line and entrance to the ancient Seagate and form part of an important vista when approaching Montrose over the bridge from the south. Part of the 133/135 Bridge Street and 2 Wharf Street B Group.
