Description

Later 19th century, with later alterations and additions. Single storey, 3-bay T-plan cottage with centred pitched-roofed boarded entrance porch and lean-to addition to outer left. Harl-pointed rubble.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: window to advanced finialled entrance porch in bay to centre; boarded door to left return. Window, hugging eaves, in each bay flanking. Boarded door, set to right, in lean-to addition to left; flat-roofed addition to outer left.

Fixed 4- and 9-pane timber-framed windows. Stone tiled roof with cement-filled joints; harl-pointed rubble corniced stacks to each gable; replacement, tall cans; cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: comprising 2 main rooms either side of porch with single room centred to rear; boarded doors; flagstone floors; original fire surround to principal room to NE.

Statement of Interest

Now vacant, Little Millhouse remains relatively unaltered, its interest lying in the surviving graded stone tiles and the simple, original interior.
