Dated 1864, enlarged. Single and 2-storey, 4-bay gabled farmhouse. Whitewashed polychrome brick. Segmental-headed openings.
SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: advanced gable to right of centre with window to each floor, window to each floor of set-back bay to outer right with full-height stepped chimney breast in re-entrant. Small gabled porch with window projecting to left of centre, later lean-to porch in re-entrant, further window set-back beyond.
SW ELEVATION: broad low gable with window to right, full-height stepped chimney breast with narrow light to left, small incised dated stone in gablehead.
NW (REAR) ELEVATION: advanced gable to left with pentice-roofed bay at ground, window above and dominant shouldered stack to right. Flat-roofed extension in re-entrant to right.
NE ELEVATION: later gable to left with window at 1st floor, further fixed window (altered from door) set-back to right.
4- and 8-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows except to NW extension. Graded grey slates. Coped polychrome brick stacks, 1 cavetto-coped and diamond-aligned, with some cans. Overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding and decorative braces; cast-iron downpipes with decorative rainwater hoppers.
INTERIOR: retains timber fire surrounds.
Myreside was built for Megginch Estate along with nearby 'Oldwood' and 'Balmalcolm', of similar design and both dated 1863 though altered.
