Description

Thomas Telford, circa 1840. 2-storey, 2-bay, rectangular-plan, gabled terrace house. Harled, coursed Caithness stone slabs. Regular fenestration, irregular to rear; projecting margins to openings.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: door to right.

INTERIOR: not seen 2001.

Plate glass tilt-and-turn windows. Grey slates, cast-iron rainwater goods.

Considerably taller than other buildings in terrace though still only 2 storeys with attic. The Group listing is in recognition of the exceptional group value of these buildings as the core of Thomas Telford's 1809 scheme for the new town plan of Pulteneytown for the British Fisheries Society.
