Description

Later 18th century single storey row of 4 stepped
cottages, adjoined in earlier 19th century by single storey
and attic house at right angles. Currently 2 properties.
Pink sandstone rubble with droved details.
NE ELEVATION: 4, 2-bay cottages on falling ground, with
some windows enlarged or formed in blocked doors, and
further small window in cottage to left of centre. Gable
end wall to higher house to outer right, with 1 ground
floor and 1 attic window.
NW ELEVATION: widely spaced 3 bays of later house, with
doorway at centre blocked as window and flanked by
windows; angle with NE elevation chamfered at ground.
SW ELEVATION: piend roof projection from 2-bay cottage to
right of centre.
Small-pane and 4-pane glazing patterns to sash and case
windows. New pantiles (1988) to former 2-bay cottages;
pantiles with modern skylights to attic roof.
