Early/mid C19, with a mid C20 shopfront. Probably built together with No. 11 and has the same roofline, but differs in detail and is stepped up the street in the floor levels.
Rendered and painted elevation with a natural slate roof. Double depth plan with central entry. Three storeys, two windows. The ground floor has a late C20 shop front with arched timber mullions to plate glass windows and continuous fascia. First floor with French casements with 4 4 panes; these open onto a small balcony to full width, decorative wrought iron railing. Three over 3 pane sashes to second floor. Deep projecting eaves on paired brackets, plain low pitch roof with stack to right ridge.
Rear elevation not inspected.
Interior not available at resurvey. The ground floor has been completely altered in the late C20.
Included for its special interest as a well preserved early/mid C19 frontage retaining its character, which has strong group value with the other historic buildings in the centre of Abergavenny.
