History

Possibly late C16, remodelled in the C18 and altered in the C20. A photograph taken in 1913 indicates that this may be a continuous jetty house.

Interior

Chamfered cross-beams, supported by the jetty beam are visible in the ground floor shop, otherwise interior not inspected at resurvey.

Reasons for Listing

Included for its special interest as a late C16 house and shop which, despite alteration, retains good character and has strong group value with the other historic buildings in Cross Street.
